Audio-Technica Corporation is a Japanese company that designs and manufactures professional microphones, headphones, and other audio equipment. It is distributed and managed by Alpha Tech in India. In spite of being well aware of and also having used equipment from this brand before, TAG was unable to find local vendors who they could buy their equipment from till a few months back when a dear friend Mahesh Kambli joined Alpha Tech. This opened up the whole array of sound equipment that Audio-Technica had, for TAG.
Anupam Sathe, Director of TAG partnered up with Alpha Tech and with the help of Mahesh Kambli, created a series of tutorial videos about various microphones for Audio-Technica India. This was a completely new experience for TAG in terms of marketing and co-branding with a pro audio brand, and it brought along a lot of positive things. TAG’s ultimate goal has always been to bring work and learning together under one roof, so that interesting concepts continue to brew and learning is never dull or boring again. Therefore partnering with Audio-Technica not only helped with co-marketing with a world class audio brand, it also helped enhance infrastructure at the institute so that the next generation of audio engineers can get exposed to nothing but the best.
