Subhash Ghai is an Indian film director, producer, actor, lyricist, music director and screenwriter, known for his works predominantly in Hindi cinema. He was one of the most prominent and successful filmmakers of Hindi cinema throughout the 80s and 90s with films like Karz, Hero, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Pardes, Taal and many more iconic films under his belt. He has also been the recipient of the IIFA Award for Outstanding Contribution to Indian Cinema.
He runs an institute called Whistling Woods International Film and Media Institution for which he needed to record some music for their jingle. Having visited TAG and being blown away by the technical offerings, Subhash ji decided to come and do this session at TAG and it was our absolute honor to work with him.
He was accompanied by our faculty and WPL - Meghdeep Bose who was also the music producer for this piece of music. Meghdeep has always enabled the bridging of the gap between us being a student studio and us being a professional studio, seamlessly. He has always enabled and encouraged students who he sees potential in. Therefore, he picked a few such deserving candidates, who got to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience leaving everyone enriched and motivated!
