Zakir Hussain ji is a childhood friend and a long time associate of our faculty and WPL, Mr. Mujeeb Dadarkar who has recorded for bands like Shakti and has worked and recorded in world class studios across the globe such as Abbey Road Studios, Universal Studios, Sony Studios and many more. He regularly tours with some of the biggest and finest Indian Classical maestros in the industry and is considered as one of the senior veterans in the industry because of the sheer amount of experience he has, working in it.
Mr. Dadarkar wished to invite Zakir Hussain ji to visit TAG, to show him around the facility and share TAG’s vision with him. The meeting with him was filled with loads of inspiration and also moments of sheer admiration and awe of meeting this legend. To our absolute delight, Zakir ji was elated to learn that such a facility existed in the heart of Mumbai in Andheri and that too at a stone’s throw away from the biggest bollywood production houses like Dharma, Yashraj, etc. He was not only impressed with the wide range of courses being offered, but also the culture of learning at the institute. This was truly one of the most memorable days for all of us at TAG and getting the blessings of such a respected personality was nothing short of surreal.
