JK (Jayakrishnan Nalinkumar), the partner and director at TAG, has been the backbone of sound for Atif Aslam in all his LIVE events. We wanted to share our students the whole process of how a stadium show for Atif Aslam works starting from the tech rider that went on stage to the sound check and everything that would result in optimal sound and experience for thousands of people. We did an impromptu Instagram LIVE to show people the behind the scenes from the console. Through the LIVE session on Instagram, JK went into the nitty gritties of things and gave the viewers a detailed set up tutorial in spite of being in the middle of the sound check. He answered questions and made sure that he cleared everyone's doubt.
This was very much in alignment with TAG's values of not restricting education solely to theory or boring old methods, rather giving students a more hands-on and immersive experience. This is what led to the inception of a brilliant idea by JK which was to start a Live Sound Course which summarized the entire experience of LIVE engineering into a 6 months course
